The AML-3 Series instruments are a family of highly configurable multi-parameter probes designed for a wide range of data acquisition applications. “3” indicates the number of sensors that can be installed simultaneously on the instrument end cover. An additional sensor can be connected externally, allowing a total of up to 4 sensors. The kit comes with sound velocity, 500 dbar pressure and turbidity sensors (without wipers). The LGR name (i.e. AML-3 LGR) is self-powered via a rechargeable internal battery and has a mechanical opening.

The AML-6 Series is a family of highly configurable multi-parameter probes designed for a wide range of data acquisition applications. The “6” indicates the number of X2•Series sensors that can be installed simultaneously on the instrument end cap. Additional sensors can be connected externally, allowing up to eight sensors in total. The RT versions (i.e., AML-6 RT) stream data in situ, although they also have the capability to record data internally. External power and communication with these instruments is facilitated by bulkhead connectors in lieu of mechanical switches. The AML-6 RT is typically used on buoys, moored applications, underwater observatories, and on ROVs and AUVs.
